Canon DPP adjustment query

Hi all,

So as a change to my normal workflow i'm going to be making basic adjustmunt to my RAW images in Canon DPP and outputting them directly to jpegs.

Normally i spend a fair amount of time in photoshop on each image but i have 8gb of images from a football match to go through and i dont have the time or patcience to go through each one this way, especially as i'm doing it for free .

Now to my query. If i select all the images and move the sliders for the noise reduction to where i want them this doesent get applied to the RAW files unless i go into each image and click "apply." (the sliders have moved to where i wanted them but no noise reduction is applied until apply is clicked) Will the noise reduction be applied when the images are outputted to jpegs or will i have to click apply on each image.

I don't use DPP but you might want to consider using the free Lightroom 30 day trial to do it if it is a one off. LR is great for replicating RAW processing settings to batches of photos.

I just checked a copy of DPPP on one of my machines and the Help says that when applying NR you can select a collection of images to which you want to apply the same NR adjustment values and process all in one go.

You would then use the batch process to get DPP to create the JPGS from the previously 'adjusted' files.

As far as I can recall (I don't use DPP regularly) that works as intended.
