Lockheed Electra?
Discussion
I think that a Lockheed Electra just flew over Sandhurst. Could also have been a Lodestar.
Whatever it was it was WW2 era twin radial, twin tail, electra size.
Wonderful sound from the engines, very unique, reverberating twin radial sound. Almost as good as a Single Merlin.

Could have been the Howard 500 that lurks around this country. Derived from a Lockheed Ventura. I saw it come over Chichester last year making quite a (pleasant) racket. Looked like a Beech 18 but bigger.
