I've been looking for a T350 for about a month now but anything that has caught my eye has been sold.
How do you guys think this one sounds regarding spec and history (it doesn't mention if the 'red rose' rebuilt was carried out at Racing green)?

Does anyone know what after sales are like from Racing Green?

Be aware the red rose 4.0 in that one was a replacement engine not a rebuild. What history is there with the new engine? Where did it come from and how old/well serviced was it prior to fitting?

The new engine has just 3.2K miles on it!
I can't believe RG would have a complete lemon on its books.

Why don't you 'phone and get some answers to the Q's posted above?

The new engine 'had' 3200 miles on it when fitted 2 years ago.
It may well be a very good buy but I'd just want to ensure the provenance and age of the replacement engine. Could be from a 2001 S for all you know. But I do agree, RG have a good reputation and a few phone calls will help a lot.

Spoke to Ken at Racing Green, seemed like a very helpful chap.

The original engine went bang at 7000 miles so it was replaced with a 3000 mile red rose unit (including ecu etc) from a damaged car by a company called The Garage, also had a new clutch at the same time.
Since then it has had a front end respray, check-up and tune by Racing Green and for the asking price comes with a 12 month guarantee which covers anything that prevents the car from being driven.

Going to go and have a look/drive as soon as I can.

What do you think?

The Garage, that'll be David Batty. Very well respected in TVR circles.
Did RG state what car the engine came from? Almost certainly a Tuscan S but any idea of the age and history?

Ken did say that The Garage were a well respected TVR specialist.

Didn't mention an exact age of the replacement unit but did say that when it was fitted it was obviously given a once over and new head gasket etc. Obviously Raging Green have checked it also otherwise i'd be doubtful they'll be willing to give the 12 months warranty

Hope all goes well then, from the pics it looks a nice car and with a 4.0 S spec engine it should be at least a little nippy. Just make sure you check it out thoroughly and not get carried away with the rose tinted glasses smile - this goes for any car obviously....

Thanks very much.
Oh and... It's not the 4.0 it's the 3.6 with uprated ecu, followers etc

Multi-function steering wheel in the list of benefits made me smile - I suppose it rotates left and right which is more than one function......

It has the buttons to control the dash menus, which does make it multi-function wink
