Just saw a quick news story on the beeb about a benefit claimant with chronic back pain who posted a vid of herself skydiving on youtube.

So, we'll have 7 grand back please and don't breach the terms of your suspended sentence.

Just brilliant.

Incredible isn't it?

People like this really f**k me off as I know those who are genuinely ill but struggle to get anything from the DSS!

On the other hand - she said she can't walk and was caught skydiving. What's wrong with that? At least she didn't claim to be unable to fall to earth at speed. [/devilsadvocate] wink

Indeed, she wasn't seen running the marathon. I mean, even a fridge can skydive. biggrin

I've seen Hawking space walk. The benefits cheat!

If you laughed, you're going to hell.

Chronic back pain but can jump? It fairly pulls you hard when the chute opens... It can crack your back on landing too (especially if like me you fall on your a**e once!), even with a pro landing for you.

Er - I know.

I once landed on the runway. (Muppetry) Solo on a round 'chute rather than nice and gentle squares.

But the BBC report throughout the day said "Benefits cheat who said she can't walk went skydiving."
Which is entirely feasible for someone to do who cannot walk.

That, and how old are they? Will the cheat be alive in nearly 60 years to finish the payments?

Or 50 years if it was £6k (BBC article).

That sum at that rate was a joke right?!

ETA at age 38 and paying back £6k at £35/week as per the ruling, she only needs 3 and a bit years. So, add in the costs.

Ah well with a round you don't have a chance, you're just going where the wind takes you..... A friend of mine landed on the runway whilst on the square chutes, no idea why she didn't pull the toggle and move the f***ng thing..... They don't like that much, do they!!!!

I had a bit of a chance. 20 000 acres of field to land in with just a tint strip of concrete along the middle!
