I want to do some aerobatics
Discussion
and don't know which experience to choose, which aircraft will be more fun:
- open cockpit Pitts Special for its... opencockpitness
I'm assuming it makes the experience so much stronger, feeling of speed etc, like driving a convertible comparing to a normal car
- EXTRA 300 for power, speed etc
Price makes no difference
After that, I think I would like to try the L-39 experience. What's that going to be like? Has anyone been in one?

Never done the L39. You can't tumble one though, if you want to use it again.- open cockpit Pitts Special for its... opencockpitness

Pitts vs. Extra: Most Pitts S2s are operated with a single canopy covering both cockpits, although I think there is one available (Charlie Kimbell's) for commercial use with the option of having the front cockpit open. The Pitts is all about poise, balance and finesse, the Extra rather more brutal, and more wooden on the rudder. If you hang on a few months, there will be some SBach 342s operating on a commercial basis in the UK, which arguably combine both, and a lot more besides.

I would go for a Pitts or Tiger Moth, just 'cos I haven't.
I was actually rather pleased to be upside down, inside out and rotating oddly in Chipmunks and assorted other closed cockpit airyplanes.
What do you actually fancy, if you really don't mind costs, do both Extra and Pitts.
Then come back and enlighten me.
I'll put it on my Bucket List.

Do it, rollicking good fun old chap!
I have 2 Chipmunk flights whilst in the ATC a looong time ago ('86), 1 of which was aerobatic... Sick bag remained unused tucked into my harness!
Still have my little blue 3822 book with the records
15.11.86 - AEF - Chipmunk WP805
9.5.87 - Aerobatics - Chipmunk WK589
