Had to be done
Discussion
Just got back from the show several £,ooo's lighter having ordered the new S. Sorry but the convertible didn't do it for me, and the Sagaris whilst being awseome was just too unfinished. The 19 inch wheels, whilst looking superb cannot work with the current set up. In the flesh I reckon the S takes the Tusc in a natural progression which suits me. Despite adverse comments on the spoiler, it works for me. As for the colour!!!, well you will have to wait and see. But you aint seen it before!!!!
For those not going to the show, TVR have been a bit naughty with the Sag colour as it looks fantastic but wont go into production due to difficulty and cost. The figure of £15,000 was being bandied about.

LAX, I never said I'd ordered the rag-top Tuscan S. I personally feel that a canvas panel and plastic rear screen is a retro step on a car that should be moving forward. The S has just enough mods to make it stand out and is a natural progression in the Tuscan. WRT the Sagaris, the show model had 19" wheels that DO NOT FIT the arches. The rear spoiler has yet to be finalised. There was no number plate light, as they do not know where to put it, and the interior IMHO looks cobbled. Back to the convt -on the show model you cannot see it with the lid on, and overall styling is much less agressive. It is a pretty car but when have TVR's ever been pretty? Now then, the Typhon....... wow!!!!

I know what you mean Lady T. But my theory is that these are 'Cinderella' cars - you don't buy them with your head, you buy them with the feeling in your tummy. I got in the Tuscan convertible today and the lads went 'oh sh1t, it fits'.
When Cinders put on the glass slipper and it fitted, her fate was sealed. When I sat in the Tuscan drop top, mine was
Wouldn't have occurred to me to call it 'pretty' though.
Enjoy the S - can't wait to see the colour

Would the 19" wheels work with the Tuscan S setup?

Di,
Congrats, I'm up there on Saturday and will be checking out the sagaris....so whether I go for the Sagaris or new Tusc S we will have to wait and see...but I'm sure it will be one of them

As for the colour....well I'll just have to better yours somehow hehe
Cascade Copper on the new Tusc or some outrageous new colour

Alan.

The Tuscan S isn't a convertible. And the Tuscan Drop Top isn't available as an S.
So does the 'S' have the targa panel and/or removable glass like the current model, or is it a full coupe??
Pics on the PH homepage. It's a full coupe. And it's beautiful

Yeah, saw them, but couldn't quite make out if the S was a targa with the roof on, or a coupe. Thanks for clarifying. (can't make it to the show

Would *really* like one of either of them, but can't stretch to a new one unfortunatly..... will have to wait for them to hit the second hand market.... could be a long wait, I guess......
edited to add: just saw the other post with the link to the pics at sleepy fish.... www.sleepy-fish.com/motorshow2004tvr.htm

About bloody time they made a true Tuscan coupe...
Now we can see how good the Tuscan should have been from the beginning!
If it's a coupe, they should have an internal cage like the T350 and go back to the rear light in the back window uprights as in the first Motorshow Tuscan!
