What battery grip (Canon 7d)

After a bit of advice here. I have a 7d and after a day of shooting realise I could really do with a battery grip. Now I've been looking at a few options and think i'm happy to go with an unbranded grip as I can't see much downsides, plus they're way cheaper than Canon's own!

So having decided that, I realise there are unbranded 'brands' - so now what? Also found this on amazon:

Which is still reasonably priced, plus comes with intervalometer functions etc. Thing is, from google I haven't been able to find a single review on it! Anyone got one or have any opinions on it?

I have a Phottix one on my 500d and it looks like a perfect extension of the camera.

The only issue with the Polaroid one you linked to is the lack of textured grip. It all looks very smooth and my slip in the hand?

I can't find the 7d version of the Phottix on amazon

Anyone got any other suggestions or comments? Or has everyone stuck to Canon?

It looks OK to me. My only issue would be with the buttons around the LCD display - inadvertently pressing them.

I had an aftermarket for my 350D and it worked a treat.

Just bought myself a Meike battery grip for my 60D and the build quality and buttons are surprisingly good. However, the problem I have is that, although the halfway press focuses the lens, a full press on the shutter release doesn't take a picture.

Any ideas - Knackered?

I recently bought a Hahnel grip for the 7d, pretty much identical to the Canon version, was at a local camera specialist shops annual show and I paid £99 for the grip which included a spare battery!

Impressions?

Well the grip feels nice and chunky, the batteries work well and all battery information is shown (using a genuine canon LP-E6 and decoded 7dayshop together) and the buttons although not quite as tactile as the original are nevertheless pretty nice (I like the scroll button especially) and the half-button press to focus works fine. All in? I'm happy
