If you're thinking off it - don't do it, unless you really have to!

A regretful former mx-5 owner.

I don't get to enjoy mine much so was thinking of selling...however..I've spent a fair bit of time and money getting it ready for sale, so now its in the best condition it's been in in my ownership, and I'm thinking 'why not keep it'!

Now to convince the wife!

This issue is close to my heart, and I agree.

I've seen pictures of the new owner with my car and it is like seeing your ex-girlfriend with a new man.

I know how you feel. I saw the exact same model in the car park this morning and I got a sick feeling. I need another 5. Or a Caterham...

Sold my first one, then three months later I bought my second!
Then ended up with two at the same time...

I've contemplated selling the mk3 several times and even out up an ad and had viewings recently. However there's just nothing I want to replace it with - an Elise is perhaps the only thing and they're too expensive for me at the age I want them.

I've recently come very close to selling....but I've been driven back by the wodges of £3k receipts in folders associated with TVRs. My '5 takes almost no maintenance, i don't worry about it, and its so much fun to drive...

Shame about a) the lack of noise, b) lack of speed and c) girlyness

Oh that and my best insurance quote is £850 this year furious

I'm thinking about selling mine at the moment, been digging out all my paperwork. cry

I might buy an MR2 Turbo to replace it, but I will miss being an MX-5 owner and running costs are putting me off.

So I'm going to look at some Mk2's this weekend and maybe joing the NB gang party
