Where to ride?

Hello, i've recently started going biking at the weekends with a couple of friends and the bug has well and truly taken a bite.

Based around the Chorley area we usually go to Rivington, Healey nab and sometimes take a drive up to Gisburn forest. I am just wondering if there are any other places worth a visit?

Travelling isn't too much of a problem so we could go as far as the Lake District or North Wales.



So where do you go and what is it like? like i say, it's only in the last three months that we have started doing this so fitness levels aren't great, but they are improving.

Two things - firstly you might want to click Report and get a Mod to add a title, and secondly I understand that there's some good riding in the Forest of Bowland. Don't know any more though.

Thank you mod, i posted from my phone earlier and couldn't sort out the title.
I think Gisburn is part of Bowland so it sounds like there is plenty to go at there.

Any more places worth a visit?
