We are looking for volunteers

The 'challenge' is now official. The NSRA have kindly - and all in the spirit of friendly rivallry - invited PistonHeads to run 5 cars against 5 street legal hot rods.

There will be a total of three passes; two 'warm ups' on the Saturday with the final run on the Sunday. The cars will have to pass NSRA scrutineering and the driver must wear a helmet. The driver will also need his driving licence and an 'in date' fire extinguisher.

The NSRA will put up a trophy for the Pistonfest vehicle which runs the fastest time.

So, who wants to represent PH? We'll be cheering for you!

Sign me up Doc,VENOM 500 ready to put the pedal to the metal.......And its my Birthday that day to.Our car runs 11 sec 1/4,s at the moment with terminals speeds around 130mph but once further mods are finished we hope to be nearer the 10,s at 130+.I,m not sure what happens next but if someone would like us to run the car then please feel free to contact me.TED?

Nice one Tom, I'm sure we can squeeze a PH sticker on there somewhere on 'race day' would be nice to have all different marques making up the other places, for me a Lambo,Ferrari,TVR and Lotus
