Fans of gunman Raoul Moat have been using their children to recreate the killer's final moments.
Witnesses have seen families posing on the banks of the River Coquet where the killer shot himself after a six-hour stand-off with the police.
Neighbours watched parents urging their children to lie on the ground and pretend to point a gun to their heads while they took photos.
Facebook pages of support at the time were bad enough, but this beggars belief.

Un-frigging-real! frown

I could believe it if it were silly teenagers thinking they were cool... but families with children... wtf. Mind you, they could still be teenagers given how st society is today.

Badly-written nonsense. The report quotes only one sighting of such "re-enactments". The other "sightings", I presume, are just interested people taking a picture of the location where an anti-hero died.

Absolutely nothing new, and a slow news day.

I know I'm adding to this by contributing to the thread, but I don't think this story deserves comment, as it just perpetuates our memory of this highly undeserved man.

Why is there so much uproar about people looking up to Raoul Moat?

People have been admiring and looking up to the Kray twins for years, writing books, making films, going to the old haunts and having their pictures taken, having photo's on their walls.

And compared to them, Raoul Moat could be described as "a bit of a lad"

Ah, but back then, the respect for the Krays was just that, mixed with a bit of frightened awe.

The sort of people who start and follow Facebook pages to Moat are, by and large, s.
