M400 value

Ok so buying my noble on impulse means im not to sure of the real value. It's in the classifieds for £40k I've had a. Dealer ring up and offer me 36 but is it worth more if I hang on? I'm in no rush to sell and still not sure I would when a offer was there? Any willing to open up on what they paid for there 400's??

That's top money private,but if it's got a full history, most of the "issues" sorted and you're not in a hurry then why not?It's not as though you're competing against loads of other M400's for sale.

It's totally standard with low mileage and not a mark on it.....guess il have to wait and c!!

Im thinking 40k is too much money for me to use on the track as much as I want. I'm thinking a 3r with an extra 10k in the bank for back up

Well I've had a drink but you sound like a nobler, you won't make a fast buck so drop it, no current noble is worth that even if it's a low milage m400, Stop dreaming and drive it or sell it. Honest opinions courtesy of g.

It's worth what someone will pay for it.
O.P, you might want to make the advert a bit more informative, if I was looking it would put me off a bit in it's present from.

Hollowpockets you might have had a drink but you sound like the biggest nobler going. I paid 40k for it so it's possible some1 else will to. Who are you to state no m400 is worth that?? With regards to the advert write up- it's written that If some1 wants it then they can but failing that il keep it

I know Zoobeef is looking for an M400 but he won't be back in the country until later this year, it might be worth dropping him a line though. BTW Niccy do you mind me asking why you've decided to sell it after only two month's ownership?

A dealer offered him 36k, and i'm sure the dealer was planning on putting on some profit, so i dont think its dreaming or far off the mark, plus he clearly pointed out he is testing the market.

Nic, don't take this the wrong way, but the advert just comes across as a bit lazy in it's appearance which "could" be construed as you also couldn't be bothered when maintaining it (which no doubt is of course wrong, but it's the perception). Some details of previous owners, service dates and mileages and who by,better pix of the car generally/interior/wheels etc,would I'm sure be of help.I see no reason why a low mileage good condition car shouldn't make top money, but you have to give it a decent chance with a decent ad.
As I said, not meant to be a criticism.just trying to be constructive.

im still not sure if i will sell but the thought keeps entering my mind - i dont use the car during the week or saturdays due to work and on the sunday i get to use it, it seems to rain. therfore 40k is a lot of money to have sitting htere doing nothing (although i love looking at it).

I bought the car on impulse as i do with all my cars and didnt research how much money it could cost if things start to go wrong. I went for a standard one in with the though if i dont modify it it should be ok - but i want to modify it but i know i wont have the money to get things sorted if things ever went wrong in a big way.

The lazy add i admit does not make it look good and i think i wrote it like that due to me hesitantly putting it up in the classifieds. I dunno i chop and change my mind every week so it wil again change next week (thanks for all the normal conversation replys apart from the drunk guy....)

Like you I only get to drive mine at the weekend but every time I do it reminds my why I would do anything to keep it. Mine has been off the road for 6 weeks now because the clutch failed (common fault) - luckily my RAC warranty is covering it, I have however spend many 0000's since last August and sometimes wander if the money would be better spent elsewhere - Until I drive it and then its all worth it.

Checked your ad to see what the comments related to - Do you think a C2S or V8Vantage will be any cheaper to maintain ?

No I don't but I could use them at mightily of in the rain!! I'm very in love with the noble and everytime I drive it I can't stop driving it!! I think if I had a bit more money around me I would not sell it. Guess I'm just worried that if something goes it's gonna be very expensive!

Very true, but every-day cars generally lack the excitement of something a more driver focussed. Who is going to look twice at your C2S or V8Vantage ? And neither are that quick relative to your M400, my Z4M was quicker than my mates V8V (albeit earlier engine model).

They are supercars that happened to be sold c50K, expensive to maintain and keep on top of - but what an event!

As a forum member once told me, its only money - we cant take it with us can we? When petrol hits £2.50 a litre our opportuniy to drive these cars without a top salary will be very limited. Then you sell to Middle East for far more than the 40K your thinking about. No point selling to Cyprus as yours is standard and no Mods to re-coup

I have friends who are spending thousands on servicing their supercars, on a Noble you can but a new engine for what it costs to replace a clutch on a lambo, to replace a gearbox on a lambo you can buy a Noble, i have seen a ferrari garage jam packed with 360's and 430's all needing major work under 10k miles, after the exotic drive a few weeks ago, 9 of the cars from the drive went in for a new clutch, i like to think it was from trying to keep up with the Noble which wasn't even breaking sweat.

Expensive to maintain not compared to other supercars, from what i've seen they are a damn sight more reliable too.

now stop worrying about it and enjoy it

if you have some kind of uncertainty about the car, sell it and buy something sensible

(or sell it and buy a properly sorted 3r)

now is the best time to sell when the sun is out (well its supposed to be here !)
