handbrake for S1

I need to change my handbrake cable and rear components.

do you know if it's a Ford reference ? which ?


and do you know where we can buy these components ?

I was told it was a modified item. You can get them from TVR Car Parts.

on TVR car parts, there is only components for TVR S4 and V8 (with rear discs).

Oh yes sorry I bought the S4 one from them for rear disks.

nobody knows if the TVR S1' handbrake is the same as the ford sierra (V6, all sierra models...?), or granada.... ?


it's easier for me to buy a Ford reference.

I got a handbrake cable for a Sierra Lx (with rear drums)
I had to cut the cable down in lengh and rejoin using cable joiners (normally used ofr boat rigging etc)
Works fine !!

Where do you put the joiners? Presumably in the transmission tunnel between the lever and the brackets above the diff?

The joiners are about an inch from where the cable goes into the rubber boot at the end of the cable (before the threaded section) on replection I wish I had moved the join further back for better adjustment. MOT next week so Ill see of it works. Worse case i spend another £18 quid and do it again!! I will get a pic when its up in the air.
