Which is best!?
Would like to get it but which one, im not a pro togger just would like to edit a few of my own photo's etc maybe even sell a few.. Looking for advice please and wheres best to buy!?

I find Elements easier to use than CS. If you want for free then Ive heard good things about the gimp.

Dont mind paying for a version thats gona work etc just not sure I can justify the £6-700 for CS5

The only other thing that Elements is lacking is Curves (although you can get Colour Curves which is similar), and if you look about there are some plug-ins which will give you almost the same functionality.

but Picasa from Google can still do a fair amount of editing.

Defo elements. CS5 takes a lot of effort to master. Have you considered lightroom? With a few edit presets you can download for free it can do some fantastic stuff.

Try lightroom, theres a free trial of it to get you started.

I prefer photoshop but lightroom can do a hella lot.

AFAIK Elements raw editor doesn't have the colour sliders of CS3+, or the select by colours tool
It does however have simple modes, tutorials, categorising tools and lots of examples and templates to get you started

I use CS5 but I probably only use 2% of it.

Ive heard many good things about Lightroom but never actually used it.
