What courier to ship a bike?

Picking the PH collective brain here.

I'm considering selling a couple of bikes through eBay. Living out in the sticks is not ideal for appealing to potential buyers if they have to travel several miles to collect. I'd like to offer shipping. Do anyone know the best courier firms to use for cycles and how would they expect a cycle to be prepared for them.
Any thoughts?

We still use them but if anything ever goes missing , the process to get your money back is a pisstake

Go down to your LBS and ask for a bike box. Remove wheels, loosen bars and stem and turn sideways (bars may need to be removed if box isn't big enough - don't undo brake/gear cables), remove seatpost and pedals. Box bike

I have sent a few bikes by senditnow.com excellent every time and cheap too!
