Where have you located your wideband sensor?

I am about to fit my bosch wideband sensor.
I realise positioning is quite important.
My exhaust is fully decatted with a clivef y piecs. Would it be ok to mount the sensor and bung on the front of the y piece just below the meet?

Put mine after the 'y' on first part of pipe after the clamp, just by the bracket that bolts to the block.

Mine lives there quite happliy but remember the cross-member when you make the hole (there's room to be above it, at least on an ACT Y) - I put the controller in the n/s headlamp void

Make sure you mount it so the sensor element is pointed down (I.e. pushed down through the top half of the tube, not up though the bottom) as they dont like it when condensation/moisture collects on the sensor element.

I want it to monitor all pots to detect if i get a lean mix on nitrous on the direct port when i get it running.

I think i will mount it on the seam of the Y just high enough so the sensor is pointing down by about 10 degrees so not to collect condensation ap per the website.

I like the idea for the controller in the light void.... keeps it from the elements.

Ask Cliff, IIRC he put the single sensor where the Y piece curves back (as it becomes horizontal) just before the main exhaust joint.

I'd still cut out the mega deep bungs in the manifolds and have short Wideband bungs put in there place, whether you use them or not.

I've actually just moved mine on advice of a guy who mapped my car again. It now sits on the 'Y' piece just above the main cat similar to Dereks.

You mean you tried to 'put it in' floppsy bunny fashion?

I'd still rather be able to see 1 bank at a time, or even map off a single bank & just swap over every now & again. Ideally of course you can have dual widebands, whether or not you run the dual table. The more you sample the less chance of picking up any irregularities IMHO.

Ideally MS3 and 8 egt sensors would have been perfect to monitor my direct port set up.
Thats on hold so maybe next year.
Just want it running sweet again soon.
