You are obviously correct but I can't believe that there is anyone that can still blame Thatcher for their predicament today and then in the next breath say they should raise taxes to cover higher benefits.

It’s been many years since I have mixed with these kinds of people, you forget they exist when you are in the middle class bubble that most of us occupy these days.

Try the moneysavingexpert discussion time forums. Some people there balme Thatcher for stuff that happened before she was born.
