road trip advice pls

Slightly off topic, but if it's anything like the F.A. cup weekend most of the police in Wales will be stationed near the Castle, dragging me out of my car, ripping it apart apart, searching every nook and cranny looking for bombs, checking my licence, checking my car reg and generally giving me a hard time as I try to get home... 50 yards away!
Stopping my car and using a dozen officers to search it and the occupants and confirming all my details- £1000
Cost of petrol used while my car idled for 10 minutes- £20
Look on the coppers face when he pulled a pair of knickers out of the female passengers handbag- priceless!

Couple of months ago did a simular trip (carried on to the top though). Would have joined your route at Builth so not sure whats on the Abergavenny road. Didn't see any thing permanant, don't take my word for it though. Mind you I understand the vans do get out and about but mainly weekends. The roads over the top of Dylife are pretty good considering and only a few places needed caution for bumps etc. A nice day out.

Usk to Abergavenny road (via Chain Bridge) is totally clear and a great road to blat on. There are camera signs from the Chart house to Abergavenny but no cameras.
PS the camera going into usk has never had any film in it. But please observe the 30mph limit as I am old and doddery and quite often staggering home from the pub that way
