2nd Hand Equipment - How Much To Sell For?

I'm selling some of my kit and wondered if there's a website (other than eBay) which details sensible market prices for used camera equipment? The main item I'm getting rid of is a barely used Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens. Given its value (when new) I obviously don't want to see it go too cheaply! I've been watching several auctions on eBay and prices don't seem to follow any kind of pattern - I've also got the added worry of friends offering me cash for things - and I've no idea if they're taking me for a ride or if I'm unintentionally ripping them off!

I think dealers like ffordes, Mifsuds can be a good guide. There's one at Mifsdus at the moment for £1299. (which means mine actually increased in value by over £300!! )

Have a look on e-bay and see what price this lens goes for. If a friend offers you a fair price take it. A friend offered to sell a load of kit for me on e-bay recently and asked his friends for offers. He said his mate wanted to by one for a very good price, I said, 'Great'. He actually bought it. That was his way of not putting me in an awkward spot and selling it too cheaply.
