Whats wrong with my toe nail

Hi

Abit of advice.. one of my toe nails (from one of the smaller toes) keeps breaking off.. i dont mean just the part that has grown out but the whole nail cracks and breaks off. It is not painfull whatsoever.

I do play football so maybe that is causing it, but is there any way to prevent this? Could there be any medical reason for this happening?

I'm no Doctor, but it's most likely caused by trauma to the nail by playing football. Alternatively, it could be fungal ... Is the nail yellow, brown, or white?
