Joanne Shaw Taylor....a must see gig!

Saw Joanne Shaw Taylor last night at The Tunnels in Bristol.
If you are in any way into deep blues/blues rock then she is truly a must see!
She is a magnificent guitarist backed by an amazing drummer & a fabulous bass player. The energy, passion & skill they all played with gave us an unparalleled experience last night.........just awesome! (I'm running out of superlatives).
If you can't get to a show then pick up one of her CD's (or better still......both of them)
First heard her doing a session for Paul Jones on Radio 2 last year & had to stop the car to listen....just blew us away.

HIGHLY recommended.

Trivia fact...her dad is Shaw Taylor, who used to present 'Police 5' , which was a precursor to crime watch and the like in the 70's and 80's. I believe she has kept the Shaw part of her name for her dad

I saw her last year, missed this time because of a stag do.

Agree that she is fantastic live. Definitely worth catching if you can.

Awesome gig again.........high point was her younger brother jamming on stage with her, the sound of both guitars singing together was just incredible.
