Possible infected wound. Walk in centre?

Hi

I had an operation 7 days ago and now have 7 staples in my stomach, due to be removed on Friday. All was well until yesterday when it started weeping clear(ish) fluid and occasionaly yellowish fluid. Only small amounts really, but enough to make me consider calling in at the walk in centre as I'm awake anyway. Its 4am so I'm assuming it won't be full to capacity there, and the only reason why I'm even considering it.
Am I being over dramatic or should I go seek medical advice and nip it in the bud? Would you?
I know this should be in the Health matters section but figured I would get a quicker response here.

Probably a good idea!

It may well not be infected, but it it one of these things you should get checked anyway just to play it safe.

I've just Googled the walk in centre, and its shut (ffs lol). I'd just made my mind up to go too.
Its open at 7am, even on a Bank Holiday so may go then.
I think you guys are just as good as NHS Direct. They'll just tel me to go to cover their backs.

you need to get in contact with your surgeon/surgical team

They *will* want to know about a wound infection, and may manage it differently from the rest of the NHS services

do not worry, but get in contact with your surgeon via their secretary.

All decent surgeons *want* to know about their complications....
