Numb digits

Just got back from a little spin around surrey but I have noticed recently that my little and 3rd finger keep going numb and getting pins and needles whilst I am on the hoods.

Does anybody else suffer from this, Its only just started happening, I havent changed anything...

Strange, I immediately thought carpal tunnel pressure, but that gives you a numb first three fingers...

If you don't already have, might be worth trying some mitts with Gel pads on the heel of the palm opposite the thumb... try raising your bars a smidge too

I thought it might be pressure on a certain part of my hand also, but I only get it in my left hand...

I do use Altura gel padded gloves pupp, As I said nothing has changed for the last 6 months but I have been getting this for the last couple of weeks.

I get it quite a bit in my left hand when riding on the drops, just be a bit of ulnar nerve compression. I find it irritating, but its nothing sinister.

I used to get a bit of numbness/tingling. I now ride with a pair of Gore fingerless cycling gloves and problem solved.
Also great for when it gets cold - even in the middle of winter, they keep your hands fairly warm.

Spesh BG gel gloves fixed it for me - I was getting numb hands after a 30km ride. Now, no numbness on a 335km ride. Some people swear by the gel pads you put under bar tape.
