Self inflicted?

Limited sympathy I'm afraid. Incredibly selfish thing to do, suicide. Never think of those left to deal with the aftermath or those (in this case) who have to look after them for the last two weeks.

Inspired. You are clearly a wordsmith. Is that the best descriptive term you could come up with?

I posted my opinion. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. This is a forum, not a place for personal insults.

Err, no. It actually says an overdose of prescribed drugs. Which would indicate a suicide attempt.

Or a misreading of the dosage, or confusion as to whether a previous dose has been taken. Not all overdoses are due suicide attempts.

So what was he stoned on that caused him to mis-read the label then wink

My guess is that you would need to do far more than just "double up by mistake" on most prescription drugs to put yourself into the position that he has been in for the last days.

If I were to speculate, I'd guess suicide or misadventure, but unlikely to be an accident IMO. Let's wait and see what the tox report says though.

Indeed, let's not speculate. What's happened to PH? Gone all liberal. hehe

Actually, means just that. Overdose. Doesnt me 'on purpose'. Although highly likely obviously, granted.

It is however quite possible to get a prescription wrong, or to take two courses of essentially the same drugs not realising they contain the same ingredients, and thus inadvertantly using double.

Is he actually RIP yet?

Or is the OP being premature?

"The 60-year-old star, who has appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” is thought to have suffered a prescription drug overdose."

I didn't think that our TV could go any lower.

I don't think being declared brain dead and taken off life support can be viewed as a positive prognosis, but yes, technically premature.

You obviousley have no idea about the state of mind a person is in when they commit suicide.(for whatever reasons) You seem to think that they are acting rationally and it's somehow all about them. I hope no one close to you ever suffers from anything that might lead them down that path.

Why don't you take some time to increase your understanding of a subject before posting uneducated rubbish.

PH is amazing. If it was a person, it would be a social handgrenade.

All it needed was an RIP, or sad to see, or just ignore the thread.

Suicide isn't a rational act. It is easy to say that someone is being selfish. They are, but it is more complex than simply a selfish act. I don't think one can fully understand why someone might commit suicide until they have been in a position where they want to take their life.
