Oh dear, "Multi Culturalism" gone wrong again?
Whoever thought it was a good idea?
Perhaps those who don't understand what "Culture", in terms of a Nation, means?

People from other countries mainly came into this country because they were cheaper labour than British people. This was certainly the case for many asian people I know (i.e their grandfather/father came over in the 60s or 70s).

I very much doubt any thought was given to clashes of culture further down the line.

Blame it on capitalism.

Blame it on poor education allowing ignorant superstition to persist.

No it was labour that wanted cheap votes and a way of keeping the British working man down where he belongs... cowed and dependent on the state!!!

Can't remember any similar incidents of religious, cultural and idealogically motivated violence from our West Indian labour that was imported post war. Fine, their descendents may be well represented in crime figures, but not from this perspective.

Neither do I recal any such widespread antagonism from other religions and beliefs - apart, of course, from the Catholics and IRA - which settled here; Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist or whatever.

This is a Muslim problem, but we should be extremely wary of tarring all Muslims, lest we go down the vile and dispicable route of our recently reunited friend Mr Mladic. However, in order for sanity to prevail here, the Muslim faithful need to put clear water between themselves and the loonies and offer no shelter or assistance to them.

I can beleive it.

This idealogical gulf is but one of the issues that was swept under the carpet during the great mutlicultural expansion (a.k.a. the rule of Tony the Great) alongside issues like those that (finally) are being addresssed, like the paeodophile rings perying on white girls and the avoidance of car tax and insurance that has ocurred, hand in glove, with such cultural separatism.

No one dared utter the truth. There are other 'issues' which, from conversations with people in the police, are only just beginning to be tackled, purely because no one dared to address them previously, for fear of being branded racist.

And of course 'we' deserve all we get for leaving our borders entirely open to whoever wanted to arrive. We ran the idiotic policy of receiving refugees from countries spoilled by racism and genocide whilst simultaneously allowing free access to those who perpetrated such horrors. We are the morons.

Please London was known as londonistan long beofre TB got in and places like Bradford were exactly the same as they are now.

Yes TB made it worse but don't try and pretend the blue ties were any better regarding this.

ps I think net imigration has gone up in the last year.

It doesn't matter what colour tie they where, when it comes to multi-culturalism (like AGW), they all are the very same colour inside and that'd be red.

As far as the poor teacher is concerned, IMHO the best eprson to teach RE would be an atheist, not swayed by any particular religion and able to teach all religions with the same level of thought. I'm an Atheist, yet RE was one of my strongest subjects in my early years at school. I'm also very comfortable with my mates of all religious backgrounds and respect them for their faith.

What does get me thinking is that the police recorded them talking about this and did nothing to prevent it. I guess what they were trying to catch them doing, was more important that one teacher's life.

Sadly, you're right, although the I have it on very good authority that the instructions for frontline police to 'ignore' (i.e. do nothing with them, other than provide the address of the nearest immigration office) illegal immigrants came during Tony's watch.

That the stable door lock has still not been improved...

That particular part of East London, has been a safe haven for incomers for generations. At least as far back as The Hunguenots in the 1680's. Yer typical cokernee sparrer would have felt out of place there four hundred years ago.
