packaging bike to go abroad

A guy from california as enquired about my bike for sale.
Where could i get a box from. Would a cycle shop sell me something?

Just can't see it being worth the bother to be honest unless it won't sell closer to home. You can buy reasonable quality bike bags and boxes for around 100 pounds but the bikeboxalan beasts are the best and the cost 300. You could see if the buyer is prepared to pay for this? Shops get bikes flat packed in crappy boxes. You would need a lot of padding to stop it moving but I think the box would fall apart first...
