Don't really know where to start with this one so be patient, got a call from my sister in Mnachester tonight saying my mum had died, she was 74 and had been ill anyway so was not too suprised, upset naturally but not unexpected.
Anyway I get another call from GMP as my sister had passed them my number as oldest brother, next of kin by default type thing, and her death is being looked into as she died as result of injuries received during a robbery on Monday and she was found dead in her chair this morning by my brother who called in on his way to work as he did everyday.
Some scumbag had entered her home as a distraction robbery and then give her a couple of punches, now my mum has always been a srong woman so she didn't consider mentioninng to any of us about the robbery in case we regarded her as being silly for letting someone in.
You hopefully cannot begin to imagine the anger, guilt, upset we all feel about this, god forbid any of us actually find out who did this, the pain these 3 would endure for the rest of their lives in our hands would not make up for the way they have took our mum away from us.
We are also upset at the fact GMP did not notify us of the robbery, the reason given that my mum requested as much.
I can't think of anything else to say, I'm not a sweary person hence the lack of bad language.
