Great set Nick

I seem to be stareing at them far to long to discover the little detailed movement.

Well done.............truely captivating

you must tell us how you achieve the movement before to long

Like em all but these two are superb. The first has the feel of a film still, love the rogue reflection.
Imo the second it the stand-out shot - wonderful tones, great composition, like rose-tinted record of a halcyon time. Cracking pic smile

No idea how it's done, but it is a very cool effect.

Some very clever stuff here too:

There are some tutorials online, look for Cinemagraphs, you basically shoot high def video and then import he frames into Photoshop, then use one frame as a mask, then create an animated gif.

Yes, those are the best of the bunch, shows that tricks aren't really needed but it's all a bit of fun biggrin

Thanks for that, I've been taking a gander at the tutorials.

You make it sound very easy, but it clearly takes a good deal of effort to both "see" the potential and capture suitable material and to actually put the theory into practice and make it work.

Clearly, these Cinemgraphs need to be displayed electronically to see the movement.

Are Digital Photo frames capable of displaying this file format, that would make for a really interesting display.

Nick these are some stunning images, as yours always are. I love the processing on your shots, they look very "authentic" if that makes any sense.

I also love the movement in some of those shots, very clever and very effective. Reminds of something out of harry potter!

Fantastic work Nick!

I like the GIFs, but can't help thinking they'll soon be the new 'HDR'...

Great photos Nick! You don't have any pictures of my brother's Volvo Amazon do you (the rather ratty dark blue one)? If so, he'd be chuffed to see a photo of his car. smile
