A forlorn hope, but there was a piece of choral music this morning accompanied by either a bassoon or more likely a saxophone. I've searched the Radio 3 play list and can't find it. Can anyone help me here?

I didn't hear the broadcast, but wonder if it could be Jan Garbarek and his album Officium? It uses Gregorian chant with a saxophone over the top.....

Nothing on the playlist that's choral except for the Palestrina but it's unaccompanied...

Why don't you drop them an email? What time was it on at?

it was about 6.45 your time, so I went onto the BBC radio 3 site and listened again to this most wonderful music. It is indeed Officium, and I shall buy it tomorrow. It touched me to my soul, just like seeing Jaques Loussier in concert so many times and talking to him (in french) about his life. Thank you all for helping me find this pleasure.

ETA And indeed it was Parce mihi domine. I admit to tears when I replayed it.

Glad we found it.....

I have quite a few albums from Garbarek, he's a bit of an acquired taste - very unusual tone, almost Eastern.
