Well did Prescott again - whee were all the TVRs only little old m,e a V8S (Andy Lingren(?)). 450 SE amd a T350. Where were you all such a super day. loads 'a beans up the hill etc.

But there does seem to be a slight squatting issue with Gerald





Please note the passanger - even though Stiring Moss was there for the day I actually gave Father Christmas a lift up the hill

No idea Adrian@ changed the rear springs a while (2 years?) ago because of spring 'crashes' no problems since just wondering if beefier spring would be a good idea

about this time each year the Bishops Cleeve Rotary Club hire the hill for the weekend and organise a gentle tour of the cotswolds on the Saturday. Then on the Sunday the hiil is available for untimed runs (So no helmets, overall etc), you get two runs included in the ticket and can buy more on the day. Been since 2008 and its good clean fun. Blast up the hill a few times, them a good lunch (maybe a pint as well if you have finished with the hill), and then look at some superb cars

Sounds a great couple of days Norman and a great beginners hill experience.

Suppose I was just of the ferry from Belfast with my new purchase so needed a bit of space to get my V8S legs with her but its sound great for next year.

Please keep me posted if anything else crops up.

Norman looking at the pic again I don't think there's much wrong - you are already pointing up quite a steep hill when you give it the beans so I don't think its a great surprise that the back squatted down really. The alternative would be to go for something stiffer but for everyday use might get a bit harsh. If you've got adjustable shocks it might have been worth winding them a couple of notches firmer to help.

Race set-up is entirely different as Pete intimates. I was tempted to add TADTS as a comment too - S's are famous for squatting under acceleration, especially the earlier cars in standard form. I used to quite like it on the S1 I ran years ago!

It's blinking handy when you want to get off the line, you can practically pull it down to the bump stops with the handbrake on and then you get instant weight transfer when you let off the handbrake. If you get the timing right, you can get some blinding starts.
