Was there a show on yesterday? Filming for something?
Sounded fantastic!
Unbelievable as it may seem, anybody can apply to have the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) do a flypast/display. They obviously put major airshows/events first , but if your local village fete/party in back garden is near/on route to a display then you would stand a good chance of having them do a flypast or two. The Red Arrows will do the same.Sounded fantastic!
This was the schedule for yesterday

Tenterden, Kent Display 11:55

Golcar Flypast 14:40
East Molesey, Surrey Flypast 14:40

EDIT to add,re. sounding fantastic. I have seen the Lancaster and the Spits/Hurricanes hundreds of times, but I would still stop and watch and listen to them now where ever I was as the sight and sound is something else and what they stand for is something else again.
