How good is your balance? Can you stand on a balance board at the gym for more than 10 seconds? Or a Swiss Ball?

This is Slacklining, and some amazing skills.

I used to skateboard and rollerblade... couldn't do many tricks but could skate no probs. Actually, I can still do the (basic) tricks and can still skate so I shouldn't speak in past tense! Also, doing martial arts and climbing, you have to have pretty good balance.

For those who want to improve their balance, try standing on one leg while brushing your teeth every morning and evening (one leg in the morning, t'other in the evening). smile

I've never had a go on a slack line, but I can do the standing and jumping around on the balance ball. It used to piss my ex off a treat as the lounge was my gym, and there were some close calls with tables and heads.
I've done tightrope, but there is nowhere near as much slack as in the video. I would say my fitness is pretty good; balance has been helped by surfing, skating, climbing, balance boards and a general inability to keep still for more than five minutes.
