It looks like my rad is on the way out i noticed today some small damp patches on the garage floor so got her up on the jack and theres a rusty patch on the bottom edge were theres a slight leak was thinking of up grading to a ALLOY RAD were to buy and how much £,,,,,, or go for a recore on my S3C

Definitely worth having as it will allow the engine to run cooler. Also works well as a crumple zone

Ive had a price for a recore on my rad today of £180 or about £460 for a alloy rad just wonderd what sort of prices u guys might of paid nigel.

I've heard recores at slightly less than that but not a lot. I know Boston Radiator Services who have a good reputation advertise on ebay.

If you tell ACT you are a member of the TVR Car Club (assuming you are!) they will give you a discount. I think mine came in close to £400.

When I contacted the sellers of this they could not guarantee it would fit. They would accept return if effectively it was unopened. It was a bit too much of a risk for me, so I’ve gone for the aluminium radiator (£395) and silicone hoses (£169) from TVRcarparts.

Hopefully I will be getting my car back next week, after nearly seven weeks away during the best spring sunshine ever…
