Lowepro Reporter type bags

Anyone got one.
I used their website to put together my bag of choice and it looks like I ended up with a D300 AW. Having used it a couple of times - I would say that their website is rather generous in what you can get in one of the bags. Ok - what I should say is - yes you can get it in there - but it means when you want to use it you've got to dig it out and then attach it to the body as even with the body and a 24-70 lens on there - it's a bit tight to get in the bag straight up and down.
Lowepro's website picture for how the kit fits in there is pretty useless. I do love the way they show a user opening the top of the bag, grabbing his camera and starts shooting. I'll be honest here - it doesn't work like that. It's a squeeze to get my camera through the gap in the first place and that's only assuming you've got it slap bang in the middle of the bag - if it's off to one side; forget about doing that.
I'm tempted to go for the 500 instead but would be interested in seeing if anyone has one and how much kit can you get in it and it's accessability..
I don't want to put in much - Canon 1D, with 24-70 attached. 16-35, and a 70-200mm Maybe a flash.
