RV8 fuel pump dying - replacement questions

My fuel pump is humming tunes to me, deep bass notes that occasionally change pitch - not giving me great optimism for its longevity...

So, two questions for you gents..:


1. Where is the fuel pump situated? (Chimaera 450)

2. I have the 4.6l TVRV8 - I can see that Racing Green have one for £120+VAT, is there anywhere cheaper than this..?

Hi,

your fuel pump is probably located close to your back left wheel. If you leave the engine running and stick your ear about this wheel, you'll locate it.

I think it should be a Bosch 0580464008

There have been previous posts about the apparent risks with cheaper / non OM pumps with plastic ends ... that snap off, something todo with being manufactured from a weaker / plastic hose connector

I have this picture courtesy of V8sag which shows the location of the fuel pump and the fuel filter.
The fuel filter is the bigger canister thing in the middle of the picture with the straps around it, the pump is the smaller silvery thing to the right and below it.
