Corrupted files?

Hi all,

Some of you may remember me posting about what lens for doing the East Coast of Australia. Well I'm back, and with 2000+ images to go through and sort, lucky me!

But I've hit a bit of a problem, and these are my Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge pictures! Most (95%) of them seem to be corrupted so that DPP shows the thumbnail but when I click on it it just gives a pixelated large version and won't convert into jpg? Same when I try to use CS5.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I copied the files while I was out there from the CF card to my portable hard drive, could this be the problem? I'm pretty devastated right now, please tell me there's a way of restoring them or fixing the files!

Open up the folder with the images in and click on one of them that isn't opening correctly. What size does it say the image is?

Off-hand I can't remember but I'm sure they were roughly around 20mb? What does it mean if they're less?

Sorry I meant the actual pixel count.

I presume if they are 20mb each you are shooting in RAW? Also have you changed cameras recently?

Yep shooting in RAW. Not changed cameras its a 7D btw. All the info is there, image size 5184x3456 I can't find the pixel count though? Where do I find that out from?
