Best SE England Airshow?

I fancy going to an airshow this summer. Especially one that has some good WWII aircraft. Any suggestions as to which ones I should consider?

Ideally somewhere in SE England.

Duxford Flying Legends is probably one of the best in Europe for WW2 era warbirds.

Old Warden, Shuttleworth collection flying days for intimate, old style displays.

For me, you can't beat the Flying Legends show at Duxford (9th and 10th of July). That is if Cambridgeshire counts as SE. One of the few places where you will see a gaggle of piston engined fighters taking off and landing on grass, like they were designed to do.

And hearing 3-5 mustangs tail chasing and the scream of the wind rushing over their open gun muzzles at the bottom of their dive is a sound that makes your hair stand on end.

And nine spitfires of different Mk's all displaying together may bring a small tear of joy to your eye's

I would have mentioned Duxford too if you had indicated that you viewed Cambridgesire was part of the "South" of England

If you are going, get there early. It's probably the most popular airshow in the UK these days.

Duxford is closer to 'south-east' than Yeovilton

Depends on where in the "South East" you are starting from

Farnborough / Fairford are the Big ones in the south but given the operational duties this year, im guessing ther are going to be not as full as other years.
Bournemouth is free and usually has a few good displays.
Shoreham is good too.

Not been to Southend, but i have heard good things

Farnborough is going to be very thin this year - seeing as it's not on in 2011.

Farnborough alternates with Paris. It is held on the "even" years and Paris on the "odd" years.

Other airshows worth looking at in the South East are Berlin, Bahrain and Singapore.

Dunsfold is actually in the SE unlike so many others mentioned already, and is a great show.
