My Mrs tried to get me to do this - 30 seconds of investigation on Google suggested it was a load of bks. Instead, had both ears syringed - was completely deaf in one and the other was almost fully blocked. Was dizzy for a minute or two afterwards, but the difference in hearing was incredible.
