Got mine booked in to have the stage 1 done & ZF8 gearbox tune

Anyone else had this done and if so how did you find it? They give a 14 day moneyback guarantee. I need the diesel because of the amount of miles/towing and use I get out of it but do wish it had more punch

I’ll be interested on how you get on…from what I understand there is a torque limit on the ‘lower’ ZF gearbox of 500Nm but I don’t know if this one is fitted to the 210 bhp.
They said this too but I'm getting the gearbox mapped to increase this

Will know on 13th September

Update

Alfa now mapped. Noticeable difference. Much more 'keen' with pickup, partial throttle and in 'N' or 'D' a pronounced harder kick to it

Gear changes have a slight punch to them now too high up the revs

For the few hundred quid it cost I would recommend. On a plus adblue removed too which means no more £25+ every 1000-1500 miles when towing

Sounds like a good result.

As you are no longer using the Adblue have you drained the tank or just left it?

Not sure if there is a risk of crystallization if it sits there?
That's a good point and no I've had to leave it as is. You have to leave the liquid in there so it registers otherwise it'll keep showing on the dash that it's low

I'll ask them about that

Wynns do an additive which is supposed to help prevent the problem (might be snake oil though)

For how much it costs no harm in trying. Appreciate the link

Hello, I appreciate some time has passed since you got the remap. I am considering the same so was just wondering how you got on with it and whether there are any drawbacks and how it feels like after 9 months or so? Thanks
It lasted about a week then my car got nicked off my driveway

In the brief time I would say yes go for it. Sharper more punchy gear changes and definitely stronger pull in dynamic
