Got a flyer recently offering £199 inclusive of fitting and VAT for the Blue&Me MAP. Absolutely zero decent/official information on the entire worldwideweb on this new product, but I think I might go ahead and get it. May aswell for that price. Anyone else?

Fitting of the new blue and me nav involves sticking the suction cup to the windscreen. Only the 500's coming out of the factory now will have the attachment on the dashbord to mount the unit and charge it.
Not had too much time to play with it yet, but it looks to be a good unit.
The flyer you got will have the offer for the free remote controlled 500. Its worth buying the sat nav just to get the car, they are really good.

Doh! I thought it would be the dashboard version as per the picture, instead of a suction cup. Not sure I like that idea. Are there unsightly wires?

There's a post on nf500 from a dealer employee who says they've been trying it out and it's not as good as a TomTom or a Garmin. I bought a Garmin Nuvi for my trip to France in the spider and it was only around £20 more than the Blue & Me map price you've quoted and it's superb with a much bigger screen than the fiat item and built in speed camera locations. I'm sure you could get the unit hard wired into the car to remove the power wire from view. The Garmin also has Bluetooth phone and MP3 capability.
