It's mine. Phone or pm me if interested. How much do you want to spend?

You can get an MOT'd runner for a lot less but it will need work. I've had a few of them and have worked on many more so know what to look for. The silver one is pricey but in top condition.

Chris.

No worries. Give Alex Jupe a ring: 01329834001, he has one for around the 2k mark with a full MOT. Think he has a couple of others as well. He's pretty much THE expert for GTV6s.

My recollection is that the gear linkage, if not properly set up and lubricated, can be an absolute pig. The driving position is also very much an acquired taste - try before you buy!

Rust is the main issue, they can go pretty much everywhere. Though all in all no worse really than any other car of that era.

Transaxles can get graunchy going into 2nd though will still go on for ever. Generally they are pretty tough mechanically and parts are readily available and not especially expensive. Good 2nd hand availabilty of bits as well, good engines can be had for a few hundred quid. Easy to upgrade to 3 litre with Alfa 75 bits. The only other week spot is the rear calipers, they can sieze through lack of use/maintenance, though again, recon items aren't too expensive.

Once used to them they are dead easy to work on. Cam belts are no harder to do, than say, an e30 325.

Really though, pop down to Alex Jupe's if you get a chance, he's allways got a few in for something or other.

Hope you manage to find one. Chris.

Chris,

Don't suppose you took your car to Auto Italia at Stanford Hall last month? And got there up the A43 past Brackley? Looked at your ad and I'm sure that car overtook me on my way up there going through the series of roundabouts near Brackley that morning.

Looked great and went pretty well too cool

Would that be the e34 in your profile? I'd love one of those. Though am under no illusions of running costs!
