i have a 1998 alfa gtv and it has a erratic idle i have checked for air leaks and i have changed every sensor it appears to be over fueling on idle has any one had this same prob or does anyone have any suggestions

Hi...usual problem is the idle actuator which I think is cleanable on your model/year. Small connector near the throttle body, undo the two screws (torx?) and clean it out.

Have you changed the lambda sensor, that's another culprit?

the lambda has been changed and also i changed the idle control valve it appears to be over fueling i have changed every sensor and coil packs even done a compression test and that is all ok

Try the MAF sensor. Disconnect the sensor from the top of the air filter and it will probably run smoother. It will show the injector light on the dash, but this will go off once a new sensor is fitted. Very simple procedure.
