Alfa Brera S by Prodrive
Discussion
Drove one on Saturday, much improved over the standard spec one.
It feels unbelievably well built (better than any BMW I have ever sat in), however it also drives a bit like a german car, and imo could do with a bit more oomph, but if its a choice between a German car that drives like a German car, or an Italian car that looks like an Italian car, built like a German car and drives like a German car...then this is the car for you!.

Wanted a Brera when they first came out, stunning looking motor but the drive was such a dissapointment. Slow, bad steering, horrid brakes.
This looks superb and might have to get myself a test drive and see if its improved enough for me to consider a purchase. Want it in Blue though.
Any idea of price with decent options ?

There are no options. The price is the price.
And it's a million times better than the normal Brera..
Do you meant better to drive ? have you driven one yet ?And it's a million times better than the normal Brera..
If I thought it was a decent drive I would love to buy one.
I suspect there are a lot of potential Alfa owners like me who are hoping that Alfa will make a genuine BMW/Audi rival.
The Brera just seems to fall short and it's a real shame.
Theres one on display in canary wharf tower as part of the motor expo. Worth going down to see it as you will be able to crawl around it in relative peace until the lunchtime crowd appear. They only have the 2.2 on display. I must say it looks gorgeous, it really does. But damn, the stats are bad. 8.6 seconds to get to 60!
ETA: those photos dont do it justice. In the flesh, it looks so much better. Never thought alfas show off their lines well in a photos.

The balance is lovely. Copes with bumps really well too. You don't miss the 4wd in the 3.2 At all, infact the car is better for not having it
