Well its been 2 years that the GTV's been sat on the drive doing nothing after the engine went wrong. Couldn't decide what to do with it as the bodywork is spot on and overall is a tight motor. Just a shame that a certain garage on the A19 that do Test & Tune totally bodged the job, twice, so beware.

Anyway, the Tuscan was written off the other week and got paid out, so I decided to bite the bullet and stick another engine in. Found one pretty cheap and got some guys that do this type of work on the side to fit it. Got all OE parts at a cost and its running nicely, but not sharp.

She's in at RS Tuning in Leeds this Friday for a rolling road tune up which should give at least 160 BHP, aswell as running as smooth as possible. I'll let you know how that goes.

Next on the list is the exhaust and wheels.

For now heres a few pickies of what she looks like so far. Very clean car, just need a nice set of mats.

The carpet is grey, theres no tan anywhere in the car. The grill looks better in the flesh. Just blings it up a little at the business end.

Its gray carpet, I have it in mine with Black leather looks a lot better in person.

If i was sticking a new engine in mine I would have stuck a v6 in it, maybe even something with a lot more kick to it! for giggles.

Want to swap it for my one so you wont miss out on having a broken down alfa on the drive?

You could put in a V6 but then you have the issue that the suspension needs to be worked on/changed too due to the weight. The 2.0 however is easily the best handling. smile

Good work on the engine though dude! smile
