Comparing the new 500 with the old.
Discussion
The New Fiat 500 arrived at my local dealers today and I was allowed to compare old and new together. I have to say a BIG thank you to Dez the Manager, Kim and the rest of the Guys at Mervyn Stewarts for giving me free reign to play about and move half the showroom cars about for the photos.
What a difference in size 50 years makes. The photos really speak for themselves. But clearly the people at Fiat tried to stay true to the old 500 were possible. Having seen the 2 cars together now I can see so many similarities. Excellent.

Although bigger the silouete is really close.

And the New car in "Lounge" finish.

Those are the wheels I wanted on my 500 I've ordered, but I was told they "weren't available at launch and would be an expensive option available later on". This seemed starnge at the time as there was a part number on the UK 500 website for these wheels.
Thanks for this as I'll be contacting my dealer now!
Placed deposit on 5 Oct 2007, but still no word on when I'm getting mine so I might be OK on getting these wheels back on the build spec.
