Stelvio to Tonale?
Discussion
Has anybody made the above switch? I currently drive a well-specced Stelvio Speciale with the 280bhp engine and nearly all the options apart from the sound system upgrade.
It's a great car and a lovely place to pass the miles but I've always thought it was a bit gawky looking from certain angles. I love the look of the Tonale and am pondering whether to get the Veloce mild-hybrid model.
I wondered if anybody has any experience with both. Failing that, I'd love to hear thoughts from Tonale owners. I've seen two out in the wild, and I thought catching a glimpse of another Stelvio was rare.

When I bought my Stelvio (after having a Giulia) I asked the salesman about a Tonale, he said I wouldn’t like it, so I didn’t bother even sitting in one. A month later I had one as a courtesy car, he was correct.

Interesting - what didn't you like about it?A month later I had one as a courtesy car, he was correct.
I went from a couple of Giulias to a Stelvio as well.
My son-in-law and daughter bought a brand new Tonale looked lovely, engine management lights and interior trim issues within weeks. Former still unresolved. They do call it the toe-nail and it seems deservedly so. It is to say the least, a disappointment after their VW Tiguan. She and I are firmly VW fans now.

OK. I've had 3 stelvios the last one being a 280 bhp veloce on the 72.ive had the tonale veloce 280 bhp plug in hybrid for a year now with all extras on it .I just don't like the gap between the wheels and the wheel arch but apart from that it's very much the same as the stelvios but the mpg is only any good when you use the electric. Boot it and it's as fast as the stelvio but only 30 mpg .
I had a Tonale as a loan car when my Giulia was in for a service. It was horrid. The interior was cheap feeling, had that horrid plasticky smell. The Tech was awful, far too many bongs from the dash for speed warnings etc. It handled well but the transition from Hybris to ICE was very rough and the small engine really struggled with refinement.
