Alfa 156 tyre recommendation

My 156 came with Barum tyres on the front which seem to have worn really quickly in the year I've had the car. Goodyear Eagles on the back, which have plenty of tread left.

Any recommendations for replacements on the front please? When it's time to do the rears I'll get the same so they match all round.

Michelin PS4s seem to to work for me. Reasonable price, quiet and grip OK.

Note that the pressures were updated, should be materially higher than the hand book suggests. Worth experimenting. From memory mine (on a V6) are 42 psi at the front and 35 at the back.

My 2.0 Sportwagon (on 17”) is on Toyo T1-R ( choice helped greatly by a 4 for 3 offer) and it’s absolutely fine, not overly noisy, grippy, wet performance seems good and wear is fine although it’s a fairly low annual mileage car

Thanks for the advice gents, which true to form I have completely ignored! My local place had a good offer on Pirelli Cinturatos so that's what I went with. Steering response and grip feels great. I currently run at 2.2 bar all round so will have a go with higher pressures, I've read recommendations for higher pressures elsewhere as well.

2.2 Bar (31.9 psi) is definitely too low for the front tyres, fine for the rear. I use 36 at the front and 32 at the rear. Have been running PZero Rossos for some time (as in 11 yrs) but considering a change to Michelin when the car comes off SORN eventually.

Cheers, since I last posted I’ve set them to 35psi all round and it feels a lot better, the difference is quite marked. I’ll try your recommendation too.
