Fiat 500 - Unlocking Problems

So my '14 Fiat 500 is being tempermental (like its owner). Sometimes it won't unlock/lock and other times it does what it's told. It recently went to the garage for bodywork repairs and suprise, suprise it didn't play up for the mechanics and my mother borrowed it and it didn't play up for her. I'm starting to take it personally.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I assume you've replaced the battery in the fob...?

I had changed the battery but it was still being non responsive. Took it to my uncle who is a bit of a car mechanic and he noticed that one of the spark plugs had become loose. Changed it and now it's working like a charm.

Thank god because I'm driving up to Scotland next week

Hmm...OK, but I should point out that spark plugs have absolutely nowt to do with central locking.

TBF he is only " bit of a car mechanic"..anybody like to guess which bit, I reckon the bit that's hard of thinking..
