Hi all, just like to share a calm lap I did, just for fun, on the Nurburgring this summer.

I just love the area and never miss an opportunity to stop by, in either my old Fiat Coupe (which still holds my PB BTG..) or my BMW Z4M Coupe (not as fast as a tuned Fiat Coupe obviously).

This time having been at LeMans Classic with my Fiat Argenta, I could not resist taking it out there.. It's obviously not a true track weapon but nevertheless pretty fun and balanced being the last RWD Fiat.

Hot weather, street tires, std brakes & an ignition coil on its way out made for a pretty "calm" lap but I was still surprised it managed 10.06min BTG - could be worse?

HI Per. Yes all good Thanks. Fibre Bonett and boot lid now. Alfa 330 calipers going on shortly.

I'm in the middle of building a new workshop with a lift so things are waiting at the moment.

Good to see you are still going onto circuits mate.

Fantastic, GTA 330mm brakes was in the garage at the point of the fire and fibre bonnet was an idea too, how did you find the difference before/after?

I seem to remember having a conversation with you about the Alfa brakes Per. It took me a while to find some and of course the further spending has to be justified. As you know after the Alfa brakes it doesn't stop there.

I have the 17 inch wheels with the correct et,so now it's Tyres, discs and pads etc. It never ends.

Yes the car gets lighter slowly but surely. Performance is difficult to work out due to the fact I'm never without a passenger if it's not Gill then it's others wanting a ride.
I should take the seat out really.

Everyone that gets a ride is surprised by the power but you know that about coupes anyway Per.

Let me know if you are coming down to mid west France and I will sort out a track day date.

A track day in France sounds pretty lovely!
I'll def consider it. I'm working on a 24V transplant in my Alfa 75 3.0 but it wont be running in a long while so I think it'll have to be in the Z4M.

I will let you know when Per. There are a lot I can do but some are better than others. Normally there is a good mid week one around June with Delta racing.

Delta Racing are a club/track day crowd that also do a weekend in Le Mans that some others from fccuk go to.
Thier days are usually very well orginised.
