GT Junior race seats
Discussion
Hello all, and thank you to those that aided my recent purchase.
Now looking to track ready a freshly bought GT1600 Junior.
Cage fitting shortly, then onto some more supportive seats.
Looking for something in fitting with the period, but able to take 6point harnesses if required.
Who has similar and can recommend a suitable seat and supplier?
Thanks

I got mine from here https://www.sportseats4u.co.uk
Just type in "GT junior" in search - took a while for the brackets to be made up and they weren't 100% accurate IIRC.

I had Ridgard RS4s in mine. Very comfortable and period styled.

Quite heavy though, but I didn't want a Kevlar backed skinny bucket.

yep another vote for RS4's, comfortable, period looking and suitable for harnesses. As Rick said, not light weight, but still lighter than the originals In point of fact, i acquired Ricks set when he didn't need them anymore.http://www.ridgardseats.co.uk/classic-car-seats/cl...

I mounted mine on the same seat frame as the original seats so I can slide them backwards and forwards for adjustment. They have been in my 2000 GTV for about 8 years now and whilst I had to restitch a small area on the drivers bolster they are holding up well.
Note quite a lot of seats are too wide to allow the proper fitting of a decent cage in a Bertone, the RS4's don't seem to have that issue. providing the main hoop is well back towards (or on) the rear seat base.
Now those look just the ticket.
The car is having a few bits done to it over the next month or so ready for the start of the season, perhaps I will put a few pics up once its finished.
The Corbeau seats are at the top of the list at the moment gents.
Thanks again for all the great suggestions.

Not sure if the GT8 pr GT4 has the lower harnes slot.
Nice seats though, I had a GT8 and a GTB in my 1750 for a while. The GT8 is very high making it difficult to see over your shoulder.
Not a unique problem it has to be said.
The GTB recliner is nice, not a racing seat but practical and comfortable.
